Walks around Reading
For the most part the people who live in and around Reading come into town for shopping, entertainment and business. Few take the trouble to look around and Reading is not noted as a tourist centre. However there is a great deal to see if you keep your eyes open and we hope the walks documented on the Potts Memorial site will help you.
Reading Civic Society and the Friends of Reading Abbey regularly organise tours and occasionally there are also narrow boat cruises on the Kennet and Avon Canal which will show you bits of Reading you never knew existed.
